Thalias supports actively the Cambodian Restaurant Association

The Cambodian Government has performed exemplary duty keeping its citizens safe during the current pandemic, and thanks to these efforts Cambodia is now preparing the re-opening of the country, to rebuild its tourism-and-hospitality sectors, and to restore the industry’s position as a key creator jobs and wealth in the community.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the CRA has supported government efforts to curb the spread of the virus and striven to make sure we have all collectively implemented the safety measures, condensed in the Prime minister’s ‘three dos and three don’ts’.

Now, with a view to reopening the country to international travel, the RGC is currently working on a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for restaurants and food stores part of this strategy -in order to ensure the health, safety and quality of Cambodian tourism service.

Arnaud Darc, as President of the Cambodian Restaurant Association, in conjunction with international wine and spirit giant Pernod Ricard, has developed a series of policy recommendations -that assures the safe and responsible service of alcohol- to become a part of the SOP’s. We believe this will enable the resumption of the sale-and-service of alcoholic beverages in the Kingdom, by ensuring a healthy, safe and responsible environment for people to enjoy it. It is our aim, that with this co-operation, we may soon see travelers having the pleasure of a great dish, paired with a fine wine and so, enjoying the full dining experience in the Kingdom once again.

“Drinking wine was not a snobbism, nor a sign of sophistication nor a cult; it was as natural as eating and to me as necessary. We thought of wine as something as healthy and normal as food and also as a great giver of happiness and wellbeing and delight.”
