Thalias Newsletter November 2016

In his book, La Cuisine de Tous Les Mois, Philéas Gilbert, one of Escoffier’s collaborators and one of the greatest cooking teachers, says “cookery is as old as the world, but it must also remain, always, as modern as fashion.” We feel that nothing sums up Thalias better than this. We strive every day to honour the traditions and ideas of the past, while absorbing all the advantages that modern technology and knowledge have to offer. We do this in myriad ways, from Luu Meng’s pioneering research, to ensuring that we source the best ingredients that we can from time-honoured producers, to constantly training and working with our staff. And we’re thrilled by our staff’s turnout and success at this year’s Camfood Fair, details of which are below. It is a testament to their hard work and commitment to their work, to themselves and to their guests. We extend our sincerest congratulations to everyone that took part.

We had a lot to celebrate last month, and more to come in November. Find out more below.

I wish you interesting reading.

Unapologetically hip, this enclave is home to a lively den of sophisticated bars and restaurants whose virtues have been extolled on the pages of the New York Times and Huffington Post, and specialist publications such as Drinks World and Drinks Interntional.
