As stated by the American playwright and poet Ntozake Shange, "where there is a woman, there is magic." Across all Thalias' outlets , we can but only observe it every day through our hard-working kitchen, service or administration teams. Since inception, we have cherished the value of having women in positions of power, and over the years we have definitely come to reap the benefits of that. We are considered to be among the Kingdom’s most respected hospitality groups – and we have gotten to this position with almost all of our outlets now being run by women.

On the occasion of the upcoming International Women's Day, we have decided to highlight how magic women of our company and the wider world can be through what we do best: food. This month, each Thalias' outlet offers you the chance to taste a delicious dish created by the women that make our success every day. Indulge yourself with a flavourful Green Curry Bang Kang made with love by Ms Chea Srey Pov at Malis Phnom Penh or savour a refreshing Scallop and Prawn Salad concocted by Ms Va Sokny at Khéma La Poste ... Find all the amazing dishes created for the occasion in our newsletter below and don't forget to make your reservation.

In the meantime, I applaud them all for their creativity, savoir-faire and hard work.

Yours sincerely,
Arnaud Darc,
CEO and Chairman Thalias Hospitality Group

In Homer’s Odyssey, the second oldest work of Western literature written almost 3000 years ago, the mythical, man-eating Cyclops derived their terrifying power and strength from their shepherd’s diet of sheep’s cheese and milk. Sheep are one of the first animals domesticated by man, and their milk and its products were most likely among the first “processed” foods that humans created. And while cow’s milk has come to dominate these days, there are plenty of good reasons why you might want to choose the deliciously creamy flavours of, say, an Ossau-Iraty, a cheese with a history almost as long as the Odyssey.
